I Don’t Care About Your Band: What I Learned From Indie Rockers, Trust Funders, Pornographers, Felons, Faux Sensitive Hipsters, And Other Guys I’ve Dated by Julie Klausner was funny and surprising.  I enjoyed reading it very much and was happy to receive a review copy of it.  I was surprised by it, and I’m not sure it was because Ms. Klausner wrote about sex often (basically on every page), I just think it was the types of people she had sex with.  Her horrible dating experiences were truly horrible, and I don’t wish that on anyone.  It made me feel a bit sad for her, and, since this woman has an amazing comedy career, I guess I didn’t want to feel sad for her, I wanted to envy her and her entertainment New York career lifestyle that includes famous friends.  Does that make any sense to you?  However, I am dying to find out who her musician boyfriend was, and just who in the hell was the guy who begged her to snowball for him, and eventually began to lick up and eat his own cum off of her belly.  Jeesh, yuck.  Funny, scary stuff that I know you want to read about yourself.

You may not realize it, but you are already familiar with Julie Klausner and her work.  She has a great career as a comedy writer, and has worked on Best Week Ever, TV Funhouse on SNL, Upright Citizens Brigrade, and The Big Gay Sketch Show.  She has also written for The New York Times, New York Magazine Online, Salon.com, and has created several comedy videos including the popular Cat News which was featured in EW Magaine.  Make sure to visit her website and view it, as Smiley, pictured below, is featured in it.  Any lover of cats is a friend of mine.
